A group of folk met on June 5, 2004 to discuss the next camp. We secured Singing Hills for the dates of September 13th through 17th, 2006. Camp officially opened at 3 p.m. on that Wednesday.
55 people showed up over the course of camp. We enjoyed each other's company, nature, singing, dining, learning, and praying. Vickie & Nancy shared camp history with us. We ate, played games, made it to Blue Hole, and met for quest.
Tommy Deviney led our keynotes. Wow! Who didn't feel that Tommy planned the keynotes with each of us in mind? Remember "It really isn't all about me!" and the four spiritual types: head, heart, hands, and soul?
Late Saturday night after our closing campfire and prayer trail we experienced a glorious hill country thunderstorm resulting in a rather large tree falling right between cabins 5 and 6! We had a moving memorial service Sunday morning.
